Schneider Electric is adding Recogizer's AI-powered predictive control to its portfolio of sustainable building solutions. This partnership simplifies how the real estate industry can benefit from digital efficiency and decarbonization solutions.

Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation, and Recogizer are entering into a strategic partnership. As the world's most sustainable company, according to Time Magazine, Schneider Electric will now expand its range of building solutions for sustainability and energy efficiency. This collaboration allows for maximum efficiency and sustainability in facility operations.

Recogizer, the technology leader in optimizing and predicting the control of commercial HVAC systems, provides the ideal solution for this. It perfectly complements Schneider Electric's existing building automation solutions.

According to Germany’s and the European Union’s climate goals, all buildings must be climate-neutral by 2045/2050. For instance, under Section 71a of the German Building Energy Act (GEG), buildings with a combined nominal output of more than 290 kW from HVAC systems must digitally monitor energy consumption and improve efficiency by December 31, 2024.

To help meet these regulatory requirements for ESG transformation, the combined solutions from Schneider Electric and Recogizer offer real estate companies a comprehensive portfolio that sets buildings on the path to net zero while preserving property values.

Optimized Digital and Energy-Efficient Operations

Carsten Kreutze, CEO of Recogizer stated: "I am delighted that together with Schneider Electric, we can now drive the ESG transformation of the real estate industry even more effectively, and I am sure that we are the perfect complement to Schneider Electric's already comprehensive sustainability solutions. We are convinced that strong partnerships are needed for the real estate industry to achieve the climate targets by 2045. The challenges are complex, and the more closely solution providers work together, the more successfully real estate companies can achieve the path to net-zero."

The technologies from both partners unlock significant energy efficiency potential, with savings of up to 40%. Schneider Electric's EcoStruxure Building Advisor ensures optimal system performance through automatic analysis and condition-based maintenance. Recogizer's solution uses data from building systems, usage patterns, and weather forecasts, among other factors. Its AI-driven predictive control ensures the precise amount of energy needed for HVAC systems, optimizing indoor climate while automatically reducing energy consumption.

The combination of the two technologies represents the optimum in digital, reliable and energy-efficient equipment operation.

Driving Toward Climate Neutrality

Stefan Klepzig, Strategic Sales Director Real Estate at Schneider Electric, said: "We are facing enormous challenges in the building sector in terms of energy efficiency and sustainability. We should not only comply with legal requirements and fulfill reporting obligations, but also exploit the full range of possibilities. This applies to new buildings, but especially to existing properties. The focus here is on reducing consumption and emissions quickly and sustainably. By combining Schneider Electric and Recogizer solutions, we can ensure this and achieve best-in-class results. We are pleased to be able to address current and future challenges in building operations through this collaboration between a specialized company with world-class expertise and Schneider Electric."

Recogizer’s extensive experience with AI-supported, predictive control, combined with Schneider Electric's expertise in building automation, ensures maximum energy savings while enhancing comfort in buildings.

This type of digital optimization is ideal for asset classes such as office, retail, hotel, logistics, and industrial properties.

The partnership allows Schneider Electric’s existing and future clients to more easily and quickly benefit from these digital optimization solutions, reduce energy consumption, meet ESG goals, and actively pursue climate neutrality.
