Recogizer was awarded "Top Supplier Retail 2020" by the EHI Retail Institute at the Energy Congress in November 2019, honouring them as technology partner for fashion and lifestyle company Breuninger. Breuninger was rewarded for its sustainable and energy-efficient pilot store, as a result of using Recogizer’s self-learning control system energyControl.

The proof is in the savings: Breuninger’s Freiburg store had saved 420,000 kWh of energy at that time and cut 167 tons of CO2. Energy costs have been reduced accordingly.

The fact that the EHI honors our groundbreaking project for more sustainability sends an important signal in the industry," says Carsten Kreutze, CEO of Recogizer Group.

The award acknowlegdes innovative energy and environment projects as well as pioneering technologies, and aims to highlight these innovations in the industry.

The jury emphasized the following advantages in their motivation:

  •     Achievement of stable indoor climate for the first time
  •     Low setup costs
  •     The innovative nature of the measure

"We are convinced that the intelligent system control will make an important contribution to saving energy on our sales floors, and are proud of the acknowledgement of the EHI", says Breuninger CEO Holger Blecker.
